Doctors Reception with the Minister of Health
The Minister of Health held a cocktail reception for the Bahamian physicians on Thursday February 1st 2007 at the Ministry of Health on the Terrace.
The reception was well attended. Minister Nottage welcomed all and offered encouragement and his full consideration to the doctors and their needs.

Christmas Party 2006 The annual HDA christmas party was held on Saturday 9th December at the Bahamas National Trust. It was a wonderfully chilly and clear Bahamian night amongst the trees. Members enjoyed food, friendship and frolicking under the stars with the sounds of rake and scrape, calypso and other popular selections. Numerous door prizes were given out including a swimming with the dolphins package for two. A well stocked open bar and continuous supply of food and desserts kept partygoers showing off their dancing skills until past midnight. A good time was had by all until next time.

Summary of meeting with the Minister of Health
In November 2006 the Minister of Health, Dr. Bernard Nottage, met with the junior doctors to discuss the doctors' concerns. Not only was the atmosphere amicable but the doctors felt free to voice their opinions on safety issues, lack of mentorship, the direction the institution is heading and the lack of morale among physicians.
Summary of meeting with CHA and MCS
In December 2006, the HDA Executives met with Dr. Patrick Whitfield (Medical Chief of Staff) and Mrs. Coralee Adderley (Chief Hospital Administrator) to address numerous issues related to the Princess Margaret Hospital. Discussions related to the lack of parking, the need for more on-call facilities, safety issues , health and safety issues related to Farrington House along with other issues took place.
